Video Poker is a casino game of talent – and using the easy combination of playing method and mathematical know-how, is usually beat. Take note of the "pay off schedule" shown on the front of every device, and appear particularly at the most significant details – how significantly the device will pay for a Full-House versus a Flush.

An advanced electronic-poker player will also realise that a "Jacks-or-Better" device – classed as a nine/six machine for paying out nine coins: 1 for each Full House and 6: one for every single Flush, can be beaten using perfect Basic Video-Poker Strategy. Another device offering the advanced video-poker player an edge is the 10/6 Deuces Wild device. These odds have been established as a result of computer modelling. For the other machines – even if a player plays the Perfect Electronic Poker Technique game, he will still not win, though will have fun wagering!

You’ll find set rules defining Basic Electronic-Poker Strategy whether betting online or in a casino – much like the Basic System for Pontoon,

Jacks-or-Better Electronic Poker Technique

  • In any hand having a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! – 4 to an open-ended Straight, 4 to some Flush or 3 to some Straight Flush or Royal Flush – refuse all cards only keeping the Jack
  • In any hand holding only 1 card Jack or better, maintain the single good card and refuse all other cards and redraw.
  • In any hand having one pair lower than Jacks, maintain the pair and reject all other cards – unless the hand is four with a Straight or four into a Flush
  • In any hand holding a two-pair, keep both pair and reject the odd-card.
  • In any hand with three-of-a-kind keep the 3-of-a-kind and reject the other two cards.
  • In any hand holding four into a Straight, preserve all 4 Straight cards and re-draw – unless of course the Straight draw is not open-ended and the hand is with a Jack)
  • In any hand having four to some Flush, retain the 4 Flush – unless of course the hand holds 3 to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
  • In any hand having 4-of-a-kind, hold every thing since a 1-card draw won’t increase the cards.
  • In any hand having 3 into a Royal Flush, reject almost everything else and go for the Royal – unless the hand is already a Sraight Flush!

Practice these methods whist wagering – perhaps even use to refer to the Basic Electronic Poker methods until they become second nature. Go on …acquire the skill and hit those machines!
