Electronic Poker is a favored game that is able to be played in casinos around the world, or alternatively at your house on your computer, through a net account. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to achieve the greatest combination of cards possible in order to win money. On this account it is very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the involvement with competing players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be "handed out" on the screen.
The Video Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and bettors will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the player has chosen which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are able to choose the most profitable machine each and every time.
As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
