Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be bet on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your PC, through a net account. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be "given out" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the enthusiast has chosen which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are handed out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced enthusiasts are able to choose the most profitable machine every instance.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the gambler a chance to increase their profits, in which case another round is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
